Siobhan McClusky is a politically aware 13-year-old girl who is passionate about global trade and climate change. Siobhan is also somewhat passionate about getting Shaun Holmes to notice her.

Shaun is also 13 but his only passion is — shoes. He has over 60 pairs of brand name running shoes. Shaun’s shoes express the essence of who he is and his philosophy on life is echoed by the Nike logo — “JUST DO IT.”

Visible Fictions presents a memorable theatrical production that will inspire, challenge, engage and entertain. Set amidst an inspired set of oversized shoeboxes, Shopping for Shoes is a funny, heart-warming tale of newfound teenage relationships that also deals with obsessions over brand names and global issues in a thought-provoking and humorous way that young people can relate to.

Siobhan McClusky est une jeune fille de 13 ans, sensibilisée politiquement et passionnée par tout ce qui touche le commerce mondial et les changements climatiques. Siobhan aimerait également attirer l’attention de Shaun Holmes.

Shaun est également âgé de 13 ans, mais n’a qu’une seule passion — les chaussures. En fait, il possède plus de 60 paires de chaussures de sport de marque. Son essence fondamentale ainsi que sa philosophie de vie sont très bien résumées par le logo de la marque Nike — « JUST DO IT » (Faites-le).

Visible Fictions présente une production inoubliable qui, tout à la fois, inspire, stimule, implique et divertit. Le spectacle, intitulé Shopping for Shoes (Magasiner pour des chaussures), est mis en scène au cœur d’énormes boîtes de chaussures et relate l’histoire à la fois drôle et attendrissante d’une relation naissante entre deux adolescents passionnés par les marques de commerce et les enjeux mondiaux. Tout en invitant à la réflexion, ces sujets sont traités avec humour de sorte à captiver l’attention des jeunes spectateurs.
