In a marvelous tribute to childhood and to the power of dreams, Quebec’s Théâtre Tout à Trac has re-imagined the classic world of Alice in Wonderland. Instead of a garden, Alice discovers a dusty old bookshelf, from which all of Carroll’s witty and whimsical characters materialize: the terrifying Queen of Hearts, the mysterious Cheshire Cat and, of course, the ever-mad Mad Hatter. Like a live-action pop-up book, Tout à Trac’s condensed Alice uses exquisite puppetry to enthrall children with the magic hiding inside every great book.

Dans un merveilleux hommage à l’enfance, au rêve et à l'imaginaire, le Théâtre Tout à Trac du Québec a réimaginé le monde classique d’Alice au pays des merveilles. Au lieu d’un jardin, Alice découvre une bibliothèque poussiéreuse, à partir de laquelle tous les personnages spirituels et fantaisistes de Carroll se matérialisent : la terrifiante Reine de cœur, le si mystérieux chat du Cheshire et, bien sûr, le Chapelier fou plus fou que jamais. Comme un réel livre animé, le condensé d’Alice du Théâtre Tout à Trac utilise d’exquises marionnettes pour captiver les enfants avec la magie cachée à l’intérieur de chaque grand livre.
